Rancher Colt McCord of HEARTBREAK RANCH is definitely that.

Hump Day Hunk - My Fall TV Crush

After the Monday night debut of Fox's Sleepy Hollow,  there was no way I wasn't choosing Tom Mison who portrays Ichabod Crane as my hump day hunk this week. He's handsome, talented, and he has that swoon-worthy British accent. Reportedly he also likes to read Vonnegut and enjoys single malt. A man after my own heart... Yep, I think he is on the top of my Fall TV-crush list.

And judging from this list courtesy E!Online, he has a perfectly dry wit:

Nicknames: T-Mis
Website You Check Every Morning: io9 and The Guardian
Current Pop Culture Obsessions: I wear corduroy and you ask me about pop culture?
Hidden Talent: Probably my twerking. It's haunting.
Top Five Most Played Songs On Your iPod: At the moment: "Golden Age" by Woodkid, "Default" by Atoms For Peace, "The Beat Goes On" by Buddy Rich, "I Belong in Your Arms" by Chairlift and "Allez Allez Allez" by Camille
Your First TV Crush: Michaela Strachan from The Really Wild Show
Which Other TV Character Could You See Your Character Dating: Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham
If You Could Guest Star On Any Other Show: The now confirmed Breaking Bad spinoff, Better Call Saul
Favorite TV Snack: Sweet potato fries
If My Costars Had to Describe Me In One Word, It Would Probably Be: *Sigh*

Monday Mouthful: Role of Christian Grey has been Cast for the "Fifty Shades" Film Adaptation

So this morning,  author E. L. James had twitter abuzz with news of casting for both Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey's characters for the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey. I find them to be both interesting choices. I couldn't really see Charlie Hunnam as Christian because I am used to him in his Sons of Anarchy look.

But, when I see him in an image a photographer, Jack Guy took of him, I can definitely see Christian. Looks like I will have to be patient and wait until Aug. 1, 2014 when it premieres. What do you think? Do you like the choice?

Freaky Friday - The Man of My Dreams...

Do you ever have one of those moments when you are in the middle of a steamy read and you suddenly get a flash of an image or voice that comes to mind when you picture the main male character in the novel you just can't put down?

One of my favorite recent reads, Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren  left me breathless, but for some reason when I picture BB, Bennett Ryan himself, I see and hear Patrick Wharburton. Not the glittery vampire from Twilight or Superman(although this one is much more to my liking), but this guy:

I blame it entirely on my multitasking. Sitting in the living room watching television and reading at the same time produces some interesting results and now I am having difficulty picturing anyone else as Bennett Ryan. The dream I had about BB that night, I saw Patrick Wharburton and now every time I read a quote from that book or look back at it, I can only picture him.

Perhaps it is the role he plays in Rules of Engagement. He is sort of a beautiful bastard. He is easy on the eyes and he does have a distinctive deep voice. Perhaps this gentleman might just fit the bill when it comes to recasting the Beautiful Bastard - at least in my mind. This is Jamie Dornan:

Have a terrific weekend!

Hump Day Hunk

Ahhh... the dangers of a sharp dressed man...   Today's hump day hunk had me so distracted I burned the breakfast... definitely well worth it though. I am in agreement with that statement - A well tailored suit is to women what lingerie is to men. What do you think?

Going Home Again Blog Tour

Today I am reviewing Abby Cavenaugh's debut Adult Contemporary novel, Going Home Again. Published by Swoon Romance, its a beautiful love story about two people who find a true love neither thought would happen for them.

Ms. Cavenaugh deftly weaves a story of a high school crush that blooms into so much more between journalist Alyssa Jones and pop-star Michael Day. Her characters jump off the page and into your heart because she paints them through the lens of reality and not fantasy. Letting go of his past failure and choosing to be with Alyssa is not all smooth sailing for either Michael or Alyssa and I like that Ms. Cavenaugh chooses to showcase the imperfect part of a perfect love story.  I highly recommend you add this to your 'to read' list. You can find it at Amazon or Barnes and Noble.

My mini playlist for Going Home Again
Maybe its just me but I find that music and novels have an important connection. When I curl up with a good book I can't put down like Going Home Again, I can't help but have certain songs come to mind. Inevitably I create a playlist to go with the book, sort of as a memory I can take a long of the story and relive the great moments from the book.

Here is my mini- playlist for Alyssa and Michael's love story:

More about the book:
In high school, it was doubtful Michael Day knew Alyssa Jones existed.

Twenty years later, when the now-famous pop star returns home to coastal North Carolina, Alyssa gets a second chance to make a first impression on Michael.

On sabbatical from his failing marriage, Michael agrees to an interview with Alyssa, a journalist for the local tourist magazine.

When the chemistry between them ignites, Alyssa and Michael are hit with the harsh reality that he isn't yet free to love her.

With Michael's wife and son still very much in the picture, can Alyssa hold out until he ends his marriage for good? Or will she risk it all for a second chance with the one who got away?

More about Abby Cavenaugh:
